Explore. Be Inspired. Learn.

Lily – One of our pupils sent a letter to Mr Taylor (our headteacher) expressing her wish to raise money for cancer research, not only for her own loved ones, but cancer sufferers and their families everywhere.

As a school we wanted to show our support for Lily, her family and all the other pupils in school who are currently experiencing this first hand. So we immediately registered with the Race for Life Schools Event.

It is with great pride that Whiston Worrygoose J & I hosted a fun filled memorable day for the pupils to take part in that we hope will help make a difference both now and in the future! The Mayor of Rotherham, Dean Andrews and Ronnie Moore kindly gave up their time to support the day and present medals. We were also supported by staff from TESCO who provided resources and their own time to make the day a great success. The school would also like to thank Gareth from Signsexpress for the wonderful sign created for the school, H & G C Waller farm for providing the hay bales, Sam at Asda for providing resources, Lee Watson, Live & Learn sports and Beesweet. Enjoy the pictures and video below. Next year each school house will continue to raise funds for this important charity.
