Foundation Stage have had a fantastic time this week exploring colour mixing with paints outdoors. This is part of our current theme based on the book, ‘The Day The Crayons Quit.’

We enjoyed watching the drops of paint mix together and discussed which new colours this created. We also talked about the three primary colours – red, blue and yellow.

The multi- coloured cornflour gloop was also a huge hit and we talked about how it changes state from a solid into a liquid in your hand!

We were even lucky enough on Monday to spot a beautiful rainbow above our school. Can you sing the colours of the rainbow song?  We have been learning the Makaton actions in class. Ask us to teach you them as we sing together.
